We recommend using an 8GB card or larger for longer recording times.
We also suggest that you use Class 6 cards. The faster the card is, the better.

Waterproofing
The Tachyon XC's integrated waterproofing design lets you shoot underwater to a depth of 2 Atmospheres (34 Feet or 10.3 Meters).
This design also protects against spray, mud, grease, rain, and snow. If you go deeper than this, the camera may still record, but the buttons may no longer function due to the increased water pressure.

Batteries (Not Included in Basic Package)
2 AA Lithium Batteries (Recommended)
Name-Brand Alkaline Batteries will give you around 2:45 (Energizer) - 3:10 (Duracell) hours of recording time, but much less in cold weather. So do NOT use these in the cold.
Energizer Lithium/Ultimate Lithium Batteries will give you up to 10 hours of recording time. These are highly recommended, especially for cold weather.
The Remote Control makes use of 2AAA batteries.

2 AAA Ultimate Lithium Batteries (Recommended)
Up to 4 hours of life with Ultimate Lithium Batteries. Other types of batteries will give you less recording time.
In cold weather, use ONLY this kind of battery!
The Tachyon XC's optional Green Power Pack can be used to plug your camera into a wall socket or into your car’s lighter adaptor. This will give you unlimited power when plugged in, and just over an hour of power when fully charged and unplugged.
After unplugging, you should get around 65 minutes of power for the 2010 XC and 75 minutes for the 2009.
These times are for room temperature. Colder conditions will result in shorter times.
Mounts
General Mount - curved bottom for mounting securely on round surfaces. May separate into two pieces for mounting onto tripods.
Swivel Mount - Similar to General Mount, but can be rotated through 360 degrees. May also mount on tripods or flat surfaces.
Side Mount - curved surface mounts securely on the side of your helmet or head. Slips easily and securely over your goggle straps.
OptionalHandlebar Mount - mounts on tubular structures such as handlebars.

Remote
Handheld Remote Control - starts and stops your camera's recording sessions from up to 20 feet away.
The remote is not waterproof, so if you wish to use it underwater, be sure to seal it securely inside a waterproof transparent plastic bag.
