Better than Ever!
lakekover films
I love this camera! My friends and I use it a lot, and it is simply amazing. It delivers HD quality, with no fish-eye distortion, but still gives me that w i d e angle view. This camera is very smooth and has no jitter like many others do. The lens and sensor are very nice and deliver astounding video quality for the price.
The mounts that come with it are really strong, and the large variety of them for so many uses is a big plus! Overall, I must say I would certainly recommend this camera to everyone wanting a biker/helmet cam that delivers un-distorted, high quality, clear images within a very durable, compact and user-friendly device.
The camera is really easy to use, and only has a few buttons/switches so you don't get mixed up in all these settings and buttons. It can record for a really long time, and you can plug it into a power source and record for over 8 hours, after that it starts to write over the earliest file, so just change the card every 8 hours or so and you can record forever. You can essentially put them anywhere on your bike, even you car, and of course your helmet too.
The camera is just really nice and I once again recommend it to anyone! I can't find any cons on this camera at all. Its the best choice, especially for the price!
Finally a MOTORCYCLE-feature camera!
Jorge
Recently purchased & installed the BikerCam for my Harley Sportster, and it's a small & sleek solution. I set it to moto "police" mode (time stamp, looping, 15-min clips) as my main use for this is a dash cam, and it works flawlessly.
As soon as I turn on the ignition, the camera turns on and records, and when I turn the bike off, it stops recording and shuts off... perfect solution if you just want to set it and forget it. And whenever I travel to the city, I am able to easily & quickly remove the camera from its case.
The 1080p quality is great, and the camera adjusts to all lighting conditions. The only issue I had was formatting the micro-SD card on my Mac, but once I did it as FAT32 and 32kb on a PC, it worked like a charm.
All in all, this camera is definitely worth the price for its motorcycle-focused functionality, size, durability (and waterproof case) & quality.

After comparing the go pro 4 to my tachyon i found that my tachyon camera performed much better so i will be ordering a second Biker cam before riding season comes back around thank you for a very good product.
I like this camera
My Amazon
I would recommend the Tachyon Bikercam, not just to anyone, but to my friends and family too. This camera is just what I was looking for! I have used a few of Tachyon's cameras and have never been disappointed, the Bikercam holds up to my high standards for a camera.
I love that you get HD quality in such a small camera! It's wide angle without being distorted like a fish eye. All this and still so easy to use. Other helmet or mountable type cameras i have used have a alot of wobble, not a problem with this camera. When you look at similar size or types of cameras you just can't find this quality for the price. It's price is cheap but the quality is not, The Tachyon cameras i have used are tough as nails. also with the versatile mounts you can put it anywhere you want, easily and the quick release makes "unmounting" just a flick of a switch.
Since you can charge while capturing you can record for as long as you have card space and after 8 hrs you can either change the card or it will automatically write over the earliest footage on the card and continue to record. So you don't have to worry about your card getting full, just unload your card when you know you've gotten something cool. My opinion is this camer is worth every penny, I give it 5 stars and a round of applause.
Great camera, Great audio
Amerika
great camera + audio. the only thing I didn't like about it is the wind sound which is the same with all cameras (which is why I still give it a 5 star). there are some ways to reduce the wind sound by 80%... other than the wind sound problem, it works perfectly. Very sturdy and and has not flown off my helmet as I expected.
Now I just need to get some more 3m dual lock tape because I kept messing up with the positioning with that strip it came with lol. I might be able to edit out wind sound through audacity but if not, I'll try putting something fuzzy over the audio. I recommend this camera to motorcyclists, cyclists, and the military for some awesome RAW combat footage considering how well the audio works and the HD.
A LOT OF FUN!

We are having so much fun with this Helmet/Bike Cam. We have even mounted it backawards on the helmet to capture riders behind us. The fact that it does 15min increments of video is great! The picture is very clear and pretty steady. The camera is super small, light and very easy to operate. Retrieving and viewing videos is a breeze.
Great product - may be the best camera solution for a motorcycle.

Okay, so, after some initial problems with setup, I think I finally have this camera working properly. The problem appears to have been inadequate juice to the camera from the motorcycle battery. I was using a USB splitter to run both my phone and the bike camera. That didn't work, and the camera shut down after just one second of recording. It seems to be working now with a direct line to the battery (although one designed to shut off with the bike - if you just connect it directly, it will keep charging and run your battery down). So, don't try to use a USB splitter! I am still waiting to see how the loop recording works, so I may be back to update this again.
Also, I do have to comment on the good support from Tachyon. John contacted me quickly both times I had an issue, and, while he didn't seem to grasp the problems I was having at first, showed a real willingness to get it fixed. I promised I would change this review if the problem was fixed, and now I have. Thanks!
Great Bike/Helmet Mounted Video Camera
Ron Schaefer
This camera takes amazing high quality videos. But the two things I like the best are first of all how small it s. I can month it on my bike and it is barley visible, and if I mount it on my helmet it has very little wind resistance. The second thing I really like is how easy it it to use. I'm a pretty technical guy and can figure out how to work just about anything, however I prefer the things I use to be as simple as possible, and the TACHYON BikerCam is just that... SIMPLE.
It is basically a one-button operation; push the button once to start recording, push it again to stop. There are two other small buttons on the camera: one to change recording mode from 720 to 1080 and the other to set the camera to turn on automatically when you turn on the ignition (if you have it connected to the power on your bike). Overall I love this camera and use it almost every time I ride.
Tiny, highly capable cam with great quality
TomS
I purchased this camera as a sort of dashcam for the almost inevitable time when some idiot takes me out with the all too common "I never saw him" excuse. I never expected the video quality to be anywhere close to what it is ... it's superb. You can easily read street signs, license plates and other text. And there's very little vibration, which surprised me. In addition, the camera comes with an amazing assortment of attachments and accessories ... everything but the micro-card, which is somewhat annoying.
Regardless, it installed easily (I attached it to the top of one of my Harley passing lamps) and setting it so that it starts and stops with the engine and loops is ridiculously easy. In addition, the camera with the included weather cover is amazingly small and unobtrusive. It took me a while to figure out how to attach the included lanyard to prevent loss, but finally found two very tiny holes in the lower right corner of the back.
I'm quite pleased with this unit and the "set it and forget it" nature of it. Highly recommended.
unbelievable videos
cecil gaskins
works perfect, attached to my helmet, made unbelievable videos on a 800 mile ride. I have already attached a mount for my nephews rc plane. I can't wait to see the videos.
Great product

Easy to use. Great picture quality. First day using it in my bike it rained. Video quality was amazing even through a muddy lens.
Good camera for the money
Warren C.
Works well and I'm happy with it. For the price I think it's a good purchase. Picture quality is fine. The mounts are secure but allow a fair amount of vibration which can result in jittery recording but by wrapping a rag around the unit and tying it on I've found that most of the vibration is eliminated along with wind noise. I have the camera mounted on the engine guard on a Harley-Davidson Road Glide so a certain amount of vibration is expected. Overall, I'm very pleased with the camera.
Bought Two!
JCon
I liked my first BikerCam so much that I bought a second one to replace a GoPro Hero 3 Black that I was using in another vehicle as a dash cam and as a helmet cam with my bike. Now both vehicles are using the BikerCam (sharing one with my bike) and they are performing extremely well.
Video quality is excellent. These cameras are so small that they can be mounted easily just about anywhere. I've mounted mine high on the windshield behind the rear view mirror. Both are connected to a 12v source and turn on/off with the key. The GoPro required turning it on, waiting for the beeps, then pressing the record button. Not at all difficult, but the BikerCam requires none of those steps.
I've noticed that one of the BikerCams displays the date/time stamp in the lower right corner of the video and has the running time as the video plays. The other BikerCam does not display the date/time this way and only has it stamped as a static time on the video file name. Still trying to figure out why they're different.
Overall, I'm very happy with both of my BikerCams and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a small, lightweight helmet or dash cam.
Mounted on my husbands helmet to try it out and we were amazed by the quality of the picture
Raven
We just used this camera on my husband's helmet to try it out and we were amazed by the quality of the picture. We are very pleased with the camera and the technical support from Tachyon and Raymond. Thank you Tachyon for the great service and amazing product.
Love this camera! Very versatile!
Joseph Jennings
I have to say that this little guy is so amazing! The clarity it has is outstanding! I can't do anything about the wind drowning out most of the sound when moving but then again, I ride without my windshield. But cameras don't lie. Picks up a lot I didn't see while riding and some of the not so respectful other drivers! I've even used the clip mount on my visor in the jeep. Works well there too! Except it picks up my terrible singing! All in all, I love it!
Thank you Tachyon for a great product! I would definitely recommend this product for ...
Bruce
I had a few issues with this purchase but I contacted Tachyon and they immediately resolved the issue. I am very pleased with this purchase and look forward to many rides with it. Thank you Tachyon for a great product! I would definitely recommend this product for any bikers that want to record their rides for enjoyment and for safety. I will also be purchasing another one for my wife's helmet.
Very happy

Great little camera, I have used this many times and works great. Only negative is no live streaming and needs a computer to view footage.

Awesome camera! I got mine last week and clipped ...
Gonzalo Curiel
Awesome camera! I got mine last week and clipped it on my cap as we scooted across the local lake in our boat! I know it says "BikerCam" but it is so versatile that I figured why not a "BoatingCam"???!!! The picture quality is simply amazing and the wide angle lens is just perfect! Not too much fisheye effect like most helmet cams!
One of it's strong points in my book was the ability to plug it in the cigarette lighter and record while it charged.. And very lightweight that I hardly knew it was on my cap... Well I did... Especially when other boaters gave me that "WTH is that clipped on your hat look" LOL!! Here's the video... Watch for yourself!!
Five Stars
